The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA might be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The support level developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging sassa status for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot sassa status more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
